Single Tooth Implant Cost With Bone Graft: Budget Breakdown

Single tooth implant cost with bone graft includes two different parts of the plan: replacing the tooth and preparing the implant site. The calculator’s illustrative $3,000–$6,000 single-implant range plus its $500–$3,000 graft allowance gives $3,500–$9,000 before other charges and location adjustments.

Plan your budget: Use our Dental Implants Cost Calculator to explore treatment and location scenarios. Confirm all fees with your dental provider.

Make sure the graft is described

Ask for the graft location, the number of sites and an explanation of what the quoted procedure includes. A small site-specific procedure and a more extensive reconstruction should not be compared as though they were interchangeable. The treatment plan should also identify whether any membrane or additional material is billed separately.

Avoid charging the same work twice

A treatment package may already include grafting. If so, adding a graft allowance again would overstate the estimate. Ask the office to label each item as included, separately charged or not required. This is particularly useful when an extraction package and an implant package are issued by different offices.

Account for the sequence of care

Ask whether the plan involves separate appointments and whether another scan, temporary tooth or review fee is expected later. Do not assume the graft and implant will happen together. The clinician should determine timing; your budget should reflect the plan that is actually recommended.

Use the calculator as a starting worksheet

Select Single Tooth Implant and enable Bone Graft. The checkbox adds one allowance; it does not automatically price multiple graft sites. For more than one site, use the dentist’s itemized quote rather than treating the displayed total as comprehensive. Record any fees outside the tool in a separate line.

Frequently asked question

Does every dental implant require a bone graft?

No. Only an individual assessment can establish whether grafting is part of your treatment plan; do not add it solely because a calculator offers it.

This guide is for budgeting and quote comparison. Calculator amounts are illustrative assumptions, not verified market averages, a diagnosis or a guaranteed price. Your clinician and any insurer must confirm the treatment and costs.
