Make sure the graft is described
Ask for the graft location, the number of sites and an explanation of what the quoted procedure includes. A small site-specific procedure and a more extensive reconstruction should not be compared as though they were interchangeable. The treatment plan should also identify whether any membrane or additional material is billed separately.
Avoid charging the same work twice
A treatment package may already include grafting. If so, adding a graft allowance again would overstate the estimate. Ask the office to label each item as included, separately charged or not required. This is particularly useful when an extraction package and an implant package are issued by different offices.
Account for the sequence of care
